Sea to Shore is looking to hire two outgoing employees to help run farmers markets.

Start date: May – 6th 2023 – October 29th 2023 (flexible end dates can be accommodated, please inquire)

Markets:

Bellingham Farmers Market: Saturdays, from 8 am – 3:30 pm (market hours are 10 am – 2 pm) (Season is every Saturday though December, looking for somebody through October 28th) Can discuss earlier end date, please inquire.

Everett Farmers Market: Sundays from 8 am – 5 pm.  (Market hours are 10:30 am – 3 pm) (Season is May 14th 2023 – October 29th) Can discuss earlier end date, please inquire.

Bellingham Dockside Market: 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 8 am – 3:30 pm (market hours are 10 am – 2 pm (Looking to start May 6th – October 21st) Can discuss earlier end date, please inquire.

Starting pay is $20 per hour with an additional tiered commission based on daily sales at Farmers Markets.  (You are also offered discounts on seafood products) and the current IRS gas / mileage reimbursement for using own vehicle.

Needs:

- Reliable vehicle to haul farmers market supplies (needs to be larger than standard car e.g.: truck, station wagon, SUV or van) You will be reimbursed the current IRS per diem rate for driving own vehicle to cover wear/tare and fuel used. The current rate is $0.655 per mile.

-Must be able to lift 65 lb coolers comfortably

-Money handling / counting change  

-Punctual

-Good communication

-Overall willingness to learn/ be adaptable

-Seafood/ Fishing experience -Or- Willing to learn

-Warehouse is located in Ferndale, where your workday will start and end at.

Job Description:

Be in charge of loading your market materials and frozen fish at warehouse

Drive to market location, unload, and set up booth

Sell seafood: must learn basic knowledge about seafood products (this will be provided)

Fill out sales sheet paperwork / pack up and return to warehouse and unload

Track own hours and pay sheet for bookkeeper
