At Bellingham Farmers Market we are committed to food access. This means we participate in a variety of State and Federal food access programs and grants when they are available. Read on about the “currencies” that we accept.

  • If you have a SNAP/EBT card, you can swipe your card at the Market Info Booth and receive wood EBT tokens. These tokens can be used at any vendor booth on items which are SNAP eligible, just like at the grocery store. Tokens come in increments of $1 and $5. They can be spent on things like:

    • produce

    • bread

    • cheese

    • meat

    • fresh herbs

Customers can look for SNAP EBT signs at vendor booths. Our tokens are specific to the Bellingham Farmers Market, and cannot be used at other markets.

For more info on how to sign up for SNAP EBT, click here.

  • When you swipe your SNAP/EBT card at the Market Info Booth, you automatically get a dollar-for-dollar bonus match that you can use to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. There is no cap to how much SNAP/EBT we will match. SNAP Market Match can be used at any other participating farmers markets in the area.
